My collages are not representational, but instead depict the unseen world, the world that lies beneath our preconceived notions, taking us on a journey into a philosophical world. In this respect I find myself a part of a long lineage of artists who have recognized that painting is no longer about the description of the visible world, but rather 'a means of conveying the inner thought of the artist’s heart and mind.' I, however, do not deny that I have attempted to express the world through an invigorating palette and a move towards greater abstraction.
